Sports Dip
I wanted to give you a few ideas for recipes for the Big Game this weekend. Here is one that is absolutely my husbands favorite. I’ve been making this since the first year we married. Does anyone know how long that has been? We actually were on a cooking show back in the day and made this recipe 😄. I’d love to find the footage of it and see it again.
This is a simple recipe that you can make in the slow cooker and allow people to serve themselves. It’s thick and hearty with tons of flavor.
We call it Sports Dip because it’s perfect for all-things-Sports.
Sports Dip
- 3 lbs ground beef
- 2 cans of Kidney beans
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Chili powder
- Garlic powder
- Velveeta Cheese
- A jar of Salsa or canned diced tomatoes
Cook and drain your ground beef. Rinse and mash your beans. Finely dice your onion. Chop your cheese. Add rest of ingredients. Mix this all together in your slow cooker and turn on low for about 3 hours. Stir occasionally. Serve with tortilla chips.
