Ice Cream Pie

 

My boys will request this pie smack dab in the middle of winter! Ice Cream pie is for summer imo 😂 It will be a crowd pleaser and honestly is super easy. 

What you need:

  • 1 gallon ice cream (i used vanilla)
  • 2 regular size Butterfinger candy bars (or any kind)
  • 1 pie crust

Pie Crust 

The pie crust is important. IMO it makes or breaks the pie. Homemade is the best. Try to use a spring form pan but if you don’t have one, a regular pie crust pan will work.

  • 3 sleeves of crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick of melted butter 

Pre-heat oven to 350. In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers melted butter and sugar. Mix well and press into your pie pan or spring form pan. Bake for 9-10 minutes. Let pie crust cool completely. 

Assembling the Pie:

  • Let ice cream soften on the counter for 15-20 minutes.
  • Place ice cream and crushed candy in a mixing bowl and mix well. 
  • Place ice cream mixture in a cooled crust and immediately place in freezer.
  • Leave in freezer for several hours or overnight.

Serving the Pie:

  • Slice pie (warm knife works well) and add toppings (macadamia nuts, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce) and enjoy!
